Thinking Jack – Free MP3s
Thinking Jack was a folk band that existed between 2003-2006, during that time we made a few CDs. Thinking Jack was Tom Handley (guitar, vocals, bodhran), Clare Fox (viola, vocals) and me (bass, percussion). We had guests for recording – Edd Frost from Clarion and Little Johnny England (drums) and Alex Gow from Wee Alex and The Alter Boys (mandola, vocals).

Way Of The Morris
A good friend of mine, former 118 and fellow Dartington graduate, Tim Plester, has followed the Adderbury Village Morris Men since our trip to The Somme in 2008. From 18 months + worth of footage, Tim has created the stunning film Way Of The Morris.
I’m happy to say that some rather drunken interviews myself and Tim did in France were left on the cutting room floor, but that me teaching him the basic stepping is in the final cut. Here is my profile picture by Richard Ansett:

From Athlone
I have been working on ideas (in my head) over how to approach folk music again. A few years back I had a band called Thinking Jack that played at a few festivals and clubs, but I always wanted to push the boundaries more than the line-up would allow (guitar, bass, fiddle). From Athlone will be my new foray into folk music and specifically British Dance Music… keep your eyes peeled for more developments.

Englishness The Brand
When I was at uni my final performance was a sudo-brand launch part for Englishness The Brand. It featured live morris dancing from Harberton Navy and a corporate video, drawing on many corporate videos that I’d seen over the years. Here it is:
